What is a chemical pot feeder?A chemical pot feeder is installed on closed loop water system and are used to introduce the chiller chemicals into the water system or they are used to shock treat the system with cooling water biocides.
Who is the manufacture?Neptune manufactures the "VTF" and "BDF" by pass feeders.
How do these work?These are easy to work. The
corrosion inhibitor chemical (dry or liquid) are poured into the top or they are used to shock the system with an effective
biocide. The cap is tighten. You open the valves and the chemical is flushed into the system. These should be installed on a side water stream.
Which one do I purchase?The larger the water volume you have, the larger volume pot feeder you should purchase. This will save time when more chemical needs to be added to the system.
What is the differnce between a Neptune "DBF" and a Neptune "VTF" By Pass Feeder?The "DBF" Series has a
bottom "out" feature and demountable leg extensions and a full bottom
drain. The “VTF” Pot Feeder sites on the ground and has a bottom "in". The VTF is most popular and economical of the 4" side by-pass feeders available from Neptune.
Do these By Pass Feeders come with a Filter Bag?No, but an optional Filter Bag Kit and replacement bags may be added to your order.
