What is BromMax 7.1?
BromMax 7.1 is a patented single-feed stabilized liquid bromine biocide based on active ingredients of sodium bromide and sodium hypochlorite.

What are the features of Bromax?
Bromax is a single-feed, pre-activated solution which makes it easy to handle and feed . It has an enhanced stability over sodium hypochlorite (bleach). It has the effectiveness of bromine plus the stability of non-oxidizing biocides Bromax has a powerful biofilm removal properties and it is compatible with common scale and corrosion inhibitors and functions well above waters with a pH then 9.

What are applications of Bromax?
BromMax 7.1 is made from a concentrated liquid bromine biocide used for control of bacterial, algal and fungal slime in industrial and commercial recirculating cooling water systems. BromMax 7.1 can also be used to control bacterial, algal process waters and influent systems; and food,beverage and industrial pasteurizers.

How do I control the feed rates and determine the proper set point?
You can perform a free and chlorine tests to monitor the residuals. It will take a few weeks to determine your actual usage target. Start feeding slow and add more every day until the residual comes up. Then keep track of your daily or weekly usage amount and log this into your control sheets. These can be used later for trouble shooting. Some large water systems use a ORP cooling tower controller to maintain a residual. If you have a regular bleed and feed control, set it up to feed the chemical at the hottest time of day.
